ABU DHABI – Air traffic operations across the UAE have returned to normal, the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) confirmed early Tuesday, following the lifting of temporary precautionary measures introduced amid regional developments.
The restoration comes after authorities completed a comprehensive assessment of operational and security conditions.
Officials stated that the airspace is now fully stable, allowing flights to resume without disruption.
Safety review
The GCAA said the decision to reopen airspace was taken in coordination with relevant authorities after ensuring that all safety benchmarks had been met. Continuous, real-time monitoring remains in place to safeguard air navigation and maintain operational efficiency across the country’s aviation network.
Authorities reiterated that the safety of passengers and flight crews continues to be the foremost priority. Technical and operational teams remain on standby, fully prepared to respond swiftly to any emerging developments.
In the early hours of Tuesday, the UAE had announced a temporary and partial closure of its airspace as an exceptional precautionary measure. The move was aimed at ensuring the safety of flights and protecting national airspace amid rapidly evolving regional security conditions.
